On 2 February 2026, the Compaxo Group took over the production of Van Iersel Vleeswaren from Cooymans Vlees BV. The takeover concerns the product category of cured meats and regional specialities.
Production will be transferred to Maasland Vleeswaren B.V. in Belfeld, part of the Compaxo Group. Maasland Vleeswaren specialises in the production of local and regional products and has the knowledge and facilities to continue producing these traditional products in a sustainable manner.
