Roast beef
Roast beef is a very popular product in the Netherlands. Due to its uncooked/raw form, the product has similar care and similarities in preparation to fricandeau. Due to the grilling process the roast beef has gone through, it has a crispy crust and is red/pink on the inside. Partly because of this, the meat retains its juicy mouthfeel. The pure meat taste of the product is best expressed when it is fresh as day, where it should be consumed immediately after being cut off.
Roast beef is originally from England and is made from the thin loin, flat butt, topside and hind leg of the beef.
Because we roast the roast beef briefly, it gets a pink-coloured core with a dark, roasted edge.
It is both possible to buy our roast beef in cut slices and as a bulk piece.
